The Future :)

Even though I still have another year here plus my year of student teaching left I am starting to get quite excited. I am completely fine with going an extra year, because the truth is I'm not ready to grow up into the big world yet!! However, once I am forced to move on to bigger and better things I think I will feel a lot more prepared to do so. I love being able to come home from a day of coaching, and always having a smile on my face no matter how stressful my day was prior, or what I have to come. You could say that this was one of my deciding factors after having my major be undecided for two years. Knowing that eventually I will be able to work with kids all the time makes me hopeful that this will be the same outcome, but I don't see how it couldn't seeing as they are always smiling. Excited for the future.

I know what you mean! As I sit here in my fifth year of school, I realize that I really dont want to leave and evter the real world...I like it here. I have been the same way when I leave either my placements in the past, or a scout meeting, I always have a smile on my face. It is that feeling just like you that makes me want to teach children. What are you a coach of? If you have already mentioned it in class sorry, memory not so good.
ReplyDeleteI coach gymnastics and absolutely love it, I've been coaching it for about 4yrs now and competed it myself for about 13. But yea, I'm glad I'm not the only one !
ReplyDeleteI am so happy when people enforce that the five year plan is the way to go! I go back and forth everyday whether or not it was the right choice. It makes me so happy and inspired to meet people who care about what they are doing so much. I am really glad you are both going to be teachers - I can tell how passionate you are about being the best for our students.
